The idol of Sai Baba was placed on the golden throne but the fourth part of the idol was left covered with gold. The gold was donated by Adinarayana Reddy, a Sai devotee from Andhra Pradesh. The idol of Sai Baba was installed on a throne made of 110 kg gold in the year 2008. Finally, today Parthasarathy Reddy's wish was fulfilled and he was able to donate to Jhalla in the temple. But this time also it did not happen and they had to wait. After this the Corona period had started, in which he also tried that the process of donation should be completed.

That's why he was not able to donate at that time.

It is being said that Parthasarathy Reddy was trying to donate Jhalla to Sai Baba's temple since 2016, but then the process of donating it could not be completed.

Bhagyashree Banayat, chief executive officer (CEO) of the temple trust, said that devotee Parthasarathy Reddy wanted to donate a band of gold to the throne of Saibaba's idol in 2016, but the required process could not be completed then. The flowers came in various colors, red, yellow and white tied in a single thread as a garland or a mala.Parthasarth Reddy, a resident of Hyderabad, donated 4 kg of gold in Shirdi Sai Baba Mandir, the cost of which is being told about Rs 2 crore. Some pilgrims took these to offer on Sai's Samadhi (tomb) as their humble gift. There is an abundance of flower, prasad shops along the way to the temple. I paused for a while to savour the beauty of the roses peeping out tenderly, from a bunch of greens. We stayed in MTDC's hotel Pilgrim's Inn located just a stone's throw away from the temple and an excellent option for devotees looking for accommodation at reasonable prices. It's today a modern pilgrim town offering every possible amenity for every type of traveler ensuring his comfortable stay. Both - young, with a spring in their steps, and old, with a stick in their hands - men, women and children, some barefeet, while some others with shoes and slippers on, but everyone walking in silent anticipation to meet their beloved Sai.Ī lot keeps changing in the temple town of Shirdi, from a town with barely any good hotels of note to a town where hotels are jostling for space, the town has come a long way.
